Setting Up WSJT-X for FT8

Requirements

• WSJT-X installed on your computer
  
• Transceiver connected via soundcard or interface
  
• Time synchronization (NTP or GPS)

Setup Steps

1. Open WSJT-X and go to Settings > Radio.
   
2. Configure your transceiver type and CAT control settings.
   
3. Go to Settings > Audio and select your input/output devices.
   
4. Set your location (Grid Square) in Settings > General.
   
5. Test reception with the Monitor button and verify signals.

Tips

• Ensure your computer clock is accurate within 1 second for FT8.
  
• Adjust transmit power carefully to avoid interference.
  
• Keep logs to track contacts efficiently.
